Road Less Traveled

The story is told that in the late 1800's, Paris prostitutes would walk to work at dance halls like Moulin Rouge, frequented by artist Toulouse-Lautrec. Their route would take them through the meat district where blood from the slaughter houses would flow into the streets, bloodying the bottom of their shoes and staining them red.

Mosaic shoe molds. Sterling silver bezel, copper brass, stainless steel, art glass, glass beads, antique rhinestones, dichroic glass, found objects and fossils on old shoemaker molds. (Red mirror mosaic soles)
